Aged Gin - St-Laurent Distillery 700ml - 47°

Each month, a small portion of our St. Laurent Gin production is transferred to used whiskey barrels. After aging for over a year in oak barrels, our famous seaweed-infused gin becomes Vieux St. Laurent Gin.

We rediscover the characteristic aromas of Gin St. Laurent in a whole new light: herbaceous and floral notes intertwine with pine aromas evoking Quebec’s boreal forest. While rather subtle in the original version, the citrus notes explode on the palate. The finish remains true to the signature of Gin St. Laurent: a hint of the sea and iodine from the maceration of kelp (kombu) harvested from the St. Lawrence River. Time then leaves its mark: cereal and woody notes from aging in whiskey barrels enrich the spirit’s aromatic complexity. In short, Gin Vieux is a great sipping gin that accepts only the occasional ice cube as its sole companion.

Tasting Notes
An initial herbaceous and floral impression gives way to notes of pine forest, followed by pastry-like aromas, citrus notes, and a hint of pepper. Laminaria seaweed, also known as Neptune’s belt, gives Gin St. Laurent its greenish color.
