Montréal, Québec, Canada
Lilian Wolfelsberger and Stéphane Dion created the Distillerie de Montréal in 2013 in the Rosemont district. Recognized by Quebec consumers and awarded in international competitions, this distillery remains deeply Montreal-based, preserving its human, artisanal approach.
This rum is the fruit of a collaboration with Franck Dury Pavet, patissier and chocolatier, founder of Chocolat Dicitte in Montreal. Distillerie de Montréal uses the cocoa flakes left over from cooking the beans to make their chocolate. These macerate in their dark rum for 3 months. The resulting aromas are complemented by those of espresso and latte. The three-month refining process in vats brings out all the nuances of this blend.
